Job Duties
Expected compensation between $21.99 - $26.39/hour. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience and skills.
Revenue Cycle Representative Essential Functions
-
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits verification, and update insurance as needed within the system
-
Registration quality audits
-
Supports Patient Service Coordinators in understanding insurance coverage and plans
-
Covers for Patient Service Coordinator and Business Office Representative during PTO, vacancies, and high-volume periods
Other Essential Functions
-
Must present self at the workstation, ready for work, at the scheduled time

Create an exceptional patient experience
-
Handle patient complaints or concerns in a calm and empathetic manner to defuse the situation, documenting concerns as needed

Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and/or directors
-
Participate in department and company meetings, as requested
-
Work as a team with other departments
-
Serve as a liaison between provider business office and patient services
-
Must be willing and able to work varied hours and at various locations as needed

Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education Required
Education & Licensing
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
Minimum Experience Required
Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years customer service experience and/or formal customer service training preferred
-
Previous clinic work experience and medical terminology background preferred
-
NextGen experience preferred
Skills & Knowledge
-
Courteous and professional demeanor while demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to the company vision and mission

Ability to maintain confidentiality using HIPAA guidelines and comply with OSHA rules
-
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding, health insurance plans, medical billing, and claim follow-up procedures
