SUMMARY The Account Executive (AE) – Acute Care is responsible for sales, support, promotion and service of Owen Mumford products to acute care accounts within an assigned geography to meet or exceed sales objectives. Account segments include local, regional, and large hospitals, integrated delivery networks, aggregation groups, and hospital owned ancillary healthcare facilities. AE will operate within company policies and procedures and demonstrate a high degree of compliant and ethical behaviors.

Territory responsibility includes the Northeast U.S. region, spanning Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct daily sales calls with existing accounts and prospective customers to generate new business, expand existing business, and achieve sales goals.

  • Identify and develop new market opportunities, including converting accounts currently using competitive products to Owen Mumford products.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Owen Mumford products, pricing, promotional strategies, and relevant competitive products.

  • Develop and execute a territory strategic business plan to achieve assigned sales targets for designated products.

  • Maintain strong knowledge of the healthcare device market, including relevant segments and channels within the assigned geography.

  • Sell and promote Owen Mumford branded and private label products.

  • Develop, support, and grow business in acute care accounts by cultivating effective relationships with key stakeholders and departments as appropriate.

  • Build relationships with distribution partners in the acute care business segment to promote, sell, and provide in-service support for Owen Mumford products.

  • Support and promote new clinical product launches and focused product initiatives.

  • Create and follow a strategic call route, including overnight travel as needed, to manage the assigned territory efficiently.

  • Maintain all applicable credentialing requirements.

  • Develop and maintain a territory pipeline that reflects current and future opportunities as well as potential risks.

  • Attend industry trade shows within and outside the assigned geography, as needed.

  • Complete and submit all administrative reports on time, including expense reports, activity reports, CRM updates, and monthly strategic planners/calendars.

  • Comply with all quality directives, SOPs, cGMP, and health and safety requirements.

  • Comply with all reasonable requests from senior leadership.

PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS : Four (4) year college degree and Two (2) years sales experience (Medical/Pharmaceutical/Managed Care industry experience preferred). Excellent communication and sales skills. Must be willing to travel, including evenings and weekends as required. Ability to lift 40 pounds. Proficient computer skills (CRM, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Competitive base salary based on experience and qualifications: $90,000-$110,000 (subject to variation and not including variable commission).

Posted salary ranges are provided in good faith. embecta reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, external market conditions, and internal equity considerations.
