Job Summary and Qualifications

Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. Guided by our mission to care for and improve human life, you will deliver compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to each patient’s unique goals and capabilities. Working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, you will evaluate needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on treatment that supports recovery through every stage of healing. Your role will include:

  • 1.Responsible for clinical management of the patient. 2.Assures satisfaction of customers (patients, visitors, physicians and staff), upholding ICARE values 3.Participates and understands Quality Management activities. 4.Demonstrates effective communication skills. 5.Demonstrates understanding of hospital and departmental policies and procedures. 6.Promotes cost effective unit operations. 7.Documents care utilizing the appropriate tools. 8Maintains competencies in clinical areas and is responsible for professional growth and development. 9.Complies with professional, regulatory, governmental and departmental standards.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION:Graduate of an AOTA accredited School of Occupational Therapy

BLS – required at time of hire

LICENSURE:Licensed in the State of Virginia

EXPERIENCE:Previous experience in an acute care facility preferred; 1 year OT experience required
