Job Summary

Office Assistant

The Office Assistant provides welcoming, dependable support for the Chemical Engineering Department’s daily office operations. This student employee will greet and assist visitors, answer incoming phone calls, check and distribute mail, complete light cleaning and organization tasks, and run occasional errands on campus. The ideal candidate is friendly, reliable, and communicates clearly and professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Checking and distributing mail

  • Light cleaning/tidying

  • Running errands on campus

Minimum Qualifications

This position is expected to work approximately 15 hours per week, generally from 2:00–5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some flexibility in the specific workdays may be available based on the student’s class schedule and departmental needs.

Preferences

Preferred qualifications include strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service.
