Day-to-Day:
- Perform visual inspections of new electrical installations on a large industrial construction site
- Inspect low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems
- Verify compliance with project specifications and quality standards
- Complete daily inspection reports for quality-team review
- Coordinate with client representatives and quality leadership
- Observe and document work without directing union labor
- Walk the job site daily and remain physically active throughout the shift
- Use a personal phone and laptop for reporting and project communication
- Follow all project safety standards and PPE requirements
Job Description: Insight Global is seeking an Industrial Electrical Inspector for a top global construction client. This candidate will support a project in Cayuga, Indiana, focusing on the inspection of new electrical construction across low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems. The inspector will partner closely with client representatives and quality leadership to ensure installations meet all project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced inspector, electrician, or craft professional looking to grow their career! This person will be making up to $70/hr + per diem.
Skills and Requirements
- Previous experience as an Electrical Inspector
- Heavy industrial new-construction experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC code
- Experience inspecting low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems
- Experience working in or knowledge of a union environment
- Strong client-facing communication skills
- Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends
- Ability to work fully onsite and remain mobile or on foot throughout the day Instrumentation background Previous power plant experience Experience supporting large-scale EPC or industrial construction projects Flexibility to work day or night shift
