Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of designated portions of the human anatomy of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

Requirements for Ultrasound Technologists

Initial Qualifications

  • Certified or eligible for certification by:

American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS),

OR

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography (ARRT) (S).

OR

Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) When in Cardiac Departments only

  • All sonographers must obtain certification within twelve months of eligibility or cross training.

  • Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment

PREFERRED

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology

  • Prior experience in ultrasound

  • Registered Vascular Technologist

Work Hours: 00:00AM-11:59PM Weekend Requirements: Yes- Rotating Basis On-Call Requirements: No
