Job Description
The Senior Materials Manager leads all materials management functions across multiple manufacturing facilities within the Pelzer campus, overseeing planning, purchasing, inventory, supplier performance, and ERP governance to ensure customer demand is met safely, efficiently, and on time. This role is responsible for building and developing high-performing materials teams while driving operational excellence in production planning, material availability, inventory optimization, and supplier execution through Oracle ERP. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality, and Global Supply Chain teams, the Senior Materials Manager standardizes processes, improves material flow, supports new product introductions, and leads continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, Lean principles, and KPI-driven performance. Success is measured through key metrics including material availability, production schedule attainment, supplier on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, inventory turns, customer delivery performance, and overall revenue support.
Salary: 120-150k
Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of Materials Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Manufacturing Planning experience
- 5+ years managing and leading teams
- Strong Oracle ERP / MRP planning experience
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of inventory control, purchasing, supplier management, and production planning
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field
- APICS, ASCM, CPM, CPSM, or Lean certifications
- Experience leading Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oracle Cloud experience
