Laboratory Technician – Adhesives & Quality Control

Location: Bridgewater, NJ

Pay: $25/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Contract: Through January 29, 2027, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs

About the Opportunity

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician for a contract opportunity supporting laboratory testing and product development activities within a specialty chemicals and adhesives environment.

This is a hands-on laboratory position for someone who is comfortable working independently, following established experimental procedures, accurately documenting results, and working safely with laboratory chemicals.

Under the direction of a Chemist and/or Laboratory Manager, the Technician will support adhesive preparation, quality control testing, experimental activities, data collection, equipment maintenance, and laboratory operations .

The assignment is expected to run through January 29, 2027 , with potential for additional time based on performance and ongoing business needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare adhesives and adhesive additives for laboratory and production-related activities.

  • Perform routine quality control testing of adhesives and related materials.

  • Conduct testing to evaluate adhesive properties and performance characteristics.

  • Prepare, collect, organize, and accurately record laboratory data and test results.

  • Perform experiments using established procedures and experimental protocols.

  • Summarize and report experimental results in an electronic laboratory notebook .

  • Use Microsoft Office and other computer systems to enter, organize, and communicate laboratory data, including charts and tables.

  • Perform routine equipment calibration, checks, and maintenance .

  • Test the performance characteristics of substrates using established laboratory procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment.

  • Follow established laboratory safety procedures, chemical-handling requirements, and applicable protocols.

  • Communicate testing results, observations, or equipment concerns to the appropriate laboratory or management team.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of demonstrated laboratory experience .

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Biology, or another related technical field .

  • Experience performing laboratory testing, sample preparation, experimental work, or quality control activities.

  • Ability to understand and follow written experimental procedures and protocols.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data collection and documentation.

  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to communicate questions or issues.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office , particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Comfortable working with laboratory chemicals and following established safety practices.

  • Ability to accurately maintain laboratory records and electronic documentation.
