Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking an Electronics Technician to support a legacy control systems product line. This individual will perform assembly, wiring, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and verification activities on electronic and electromechanical assemblies used in safety-related applications. The role requires strict adherence to documented procedures, engineering drawings, schematics, and testing requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic and electromechanical subassemblies according to task letters, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics and engineering documentation.
  • Perform wiring, PCB assembly, and soldering activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Complete required documentation and sign-offs throughout the assembly process.
  • Conduct inspections and independent verifications of completed work.
  • Execute testing procedures using approved test documentation and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electronic components, printed circuit boards, modules, and control systems.
  • Utilize electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes and electrical measurement tools, to verify system performance.
  • Collaborate with team members on large projects, equipment movement activities, and product fulfillment efforts.
  • Participate in daily planning meetings and support changing business priorities when required.
  • Follow all quality, safety, and procedural requirements. Compensation Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. It ranges from $33/hr-$52/hr

Skills and Requirements

  • Associate degree, trade school certification, community college program, or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electronics assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics and engineering documentation.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic systems, control systems, PCB assemblies, or related equipment.
  • Experience performing testing, calibration, verification, or diagnostic activities.
  • Experience with soldering and electronic assembly processes.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • IPC or J-STD soldering certification.
  • Cabinet wiring or control panel wiring experience.
  • Nuclear industry experience. Military experience troubleshooting radar systems, communications systems, or other electronic equipment.
