Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
Location: Hayward CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with possible overtime
Initial hours: 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Future schedule: May transition to a swing shift, possibly 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
Pay Rate: $22.50hr
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background and experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.

Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests to minimize production downtime.

Replace worn parts and assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.

Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.

Document maintenance activities and work orders in a CMMS; Maximo experience is preferred.

Maintain spare-parts inventory.

Follow GMP/cGMP, SOP, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and other safety procedures.

Participate in continuous-improvement projects and root-cause analysis.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
3–5 years of manufacturing, equipment, or facilities maintenance experience.

Mechanical background and knowledge of hand and power tools.
-
Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
-
Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, HVAC, pumps, compressors, or automated equipment preferred.

Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
-
Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
-
Basic computer skills; Maximo or other CMMS experience preferred.
-
Ability to work in a clean-room environment and wear required PPE.
-
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform climbing, bending, kneeling, and other physical tasks.
