Full job description

The (Senior) Team Leader - Product at MoMo exists to build compounding growth mechanisms, retention loops, activation flows, and experimentation systems, by owning the growth strategy and leading a product team end to end, in order to sustainably grow user engagement and value across a key product area.

Job Description

  • Growth Strategy & Ownership: Set the growth strategy and roadmap for the product area, tied directly to business goals, to deliver a measurable lift in retention and activation.
  • Experimentation System: Build and run a large-scale experimentation program, from test design to statistical rigor, to consistently turn hypotheses into shipped, validated improvements.
  • Mechanism Design: Translate behavioral insight into durable product mechanisms (engagement loops, reward structures, re-engagement triggers), to produce compounding growth rather than one-off spikes.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Align Data, Design, Engineering, and Business around a shared growth thesis, to secure the resourcing and prioritization growth initiatives need.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, coach, and grow a product team capable of running growth work independently, creating a pipeline of strong product talent.

Requirement Knowledge/Skills

  • Track record designing and running growth mechanisms (retention, activation, referral loops)
  • Deep experimentation and statistical literacy, not just familiarity with testing tools
  • Comfortable working hands-on with data to validate hypotheses
  • Experience building or scaling a product team

Working Style & Personality

  • Holds a strong point of view on strategy, balanced with the humility to change course when data disagrees
  • Makes decisive calls under incomplete information, moves the team forward without waiting for certainty
  • Influences beyond direct authority, gets skeptical stakeholders aligned through argument, not just results
  • Invests genuinely in developing people, not just hitting numbers

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of product experience, including direct ownership of growth outcomes at meaningful scale
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring other product people
  • A plus if you're passionate about games or have a strong grasp of player psychology
