As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for assembling a wide range of electrical fastening products and components including but not limited to your hands, machinery, or various hand tools. Parts will be assembled in accordance with work instructions and blueprints/drawings. It will be your responsibility to complete regular, scheduled quality checks to ensure parts are being assembled up to nVent’s standards.
W HAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION :

Work individuallyor aspart ofa teamto assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product orcomponentof a product according to Work Instructions.

Completes work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.

Selectsandmovesproduction materials asrequired.
-
Maintainsequipmentand materials necessary to complete the operation.
-
Meets established safety, quality, and performancestandards to ensure production schedules are met.

Recordsaccurateinformation on Manufacturing Order and performs transactions necessary tomaintainaccuraterecords and inventory balances.

Complies withall applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards. Reports adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to departmentleaderin accordancetoescalationprocedure.

Adheres to department 5S standards daily. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.

In accordance withescalation procedure, notify team leader or other appropriateresourcewhen problems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.

Demonstrates flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed. Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
YOU HAVE:
-
High School Diploma or GED, preferred
-
Knowledge in use of scales, preferred
-
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferred
-
Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints, preferred
-
Experience in assembling mechanical parts into a finished product, preferred
-
Experience in using hand and power tools, preferred
-
Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred
