Summary

You will serve as an AIRFIELD ATTENDANT SUPERVISOR in the OPERATIONS DIVISION of MCAS BEAUFORT SC.

Duties

  • You will exercise first level supervision and oversight over employees performing difficult and complex tasks such as, aircraft servicing, airfield sweeping, passenger/cargo weighing, manifesting and aircraft loading/unloading operations.
  • You will provide direct supervision for the Visiting Aircraft Line (VAL) to ensure performance of safe and efficient aircraft servicing, airfield sweeping, passenger/cargo weighing, manifesting and aircraft loading/unloading operations.
  • You will plan and assign work, set priorities, advise employees on programs goals and objectives, and make decisions on problems presented by subordinate employees.
  • You will coordinate and assist Airfield Operations with the Biannual MCAS Beaufort Air Show and Open House specific to static display and performer support requirements.
  • You will oversee and assist to meet and guide aircraft to designated parking area, direct aircraft to/from parking position.
  • You will secure aircraft by chocking wheels, attaching ground wires, installing lock pins and engine covers; and removing same upon departure.
