Full job description

Description

Butler Memorial Hospital, one of the five hospitals in the Independence Health System, is seeking a full time AP/CP board certified/eligible Pathologist to join. Butler is a welcoming community just 35 miles north of Pittsburgh, offering affordable housing, excellent schools, and easy access to the city. Our pathology service currently handles approximately 23,000 surgical, 1,700 non gyn cytology and 3,861 gyn cytology cases a year, with a projected increase in volume of non-gyn cytopathology.

Qualified applicants with leadership skills may find leadership opportunities available.

Qualifications

  • Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology

  • Qualified to obtain an unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

  • General surgical pathology (excluding autopsy, renal, hematopathology and dermatopathology).

  • Cytology including rapid on site evaluations.

  • Frozen section evaluation

  • AP/CP On call duties shared with the other pathologists in the group.
