How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Perform targeted hospital chart reviews and clinical documentation audits within Cerner EHR, translating complex medical records and treatment plans into validated, audit-ready charge data.

  • Intersect clinical records with revenue cycle operations to identify charge leakage, present actionable findings for corrective action, and design technical revenue integrity training programs.

  • Partner with Charge Description Master (CDM) management teams to maintain charge structures, establish standardized clinical department workflows, and ensure compliant billing practices.

  • Manage tracking and reporting architectures to monitor charge capture performance, regulatory and legislative updates, and the financial impact of revenue integrity initiatives.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences:

  • Heavy clinical background with demonstrated mastery in interpreting complex medical records, physician documentation, and inpatient/outpatient treatment plans during chart audits.

  • Hands-on experience in hospital revenue cycle operations, specifically charge capture workflows, billing compliance, and Cerner EHR system functionality.
