Job Summary The Facilities Manager is responsible for an assigned region to provide leadership that manages budget, quality, expectations and results. The Facilities Manager evaluates, assigns and directs all facilities vendors, repairs, capital and facilities related support strategies for all Shacks within the assigned region. The primary goal of the Facilities Manager, which is consistent with our entire Facilities Team, is to keep Shacks open an do so in the most economically efficient way possible. Our Team goal is “No Shack Down”. The Facilities Manager must vary their schedule according to the needs of the business Expect long working hours and a dynamic schedule including after hours, weekend and holiday support. Must be reachable 24/7 for emergencies.
Candidates must live on the West Coast. Preferred states: AZ, CO, NV.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage and direct Repairs & Maintenance (“R&M”) to ensure quality and budget expectations are met
- Manage CAPEX needs in their assigned region and evaluate future CAPEX needs – always plan ahead
- Ensure that every Shack has appropriate vendors assigned in our CMMS platform
- Ensure that effective Preventive Maintenance programs are in place for all Shacks
- Emphasize strategies that reduce our exposure to critical equipment (HVAC, hoods and drains)
- Coach and train our Shacks to improve Best Practices that support longer equipment life and reduced R&M
- Leverage CMMS data to support understanding trends and predicting the future
- Leverage CMMS platform and feedback channels to evaluate all vendors and make vendor adjustments
- Ensure that all Work Orders are properly and timely managed in our CMMS platform
- Coach and train Operations on the proper use of our CMMS platform
- Support all Shacks with effective and routine communications, meetings, touch bases, site visits, etc.
- Support NSO Turnovers by partnering with the CO Team
- Support and manage Emergency Response strategies and tactics
- Support the entire Facilities Team and our Shacks when other Team Members are on PTO or OOO
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- 3-5 years of related experience in facility management, preferably in full service or quick service industry.
- Excellent skillset in CMMS platforms
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable using multiple channels
- Builds trust and equity with others with results that are routine
- Manages their assigned area like a business looking for ways to optimize cost efficiency and improve quality
- Plays from in front and is always planning ahead
- Positive outlook even in stressful situations – can do attitude and is comfortable leading during challenges
- Proficiency in Word / Excel / Adobe
- Able to multitask and meet and exceed deadlines
- Able to effectively communicate and work cross-functionally with all departments
- Hands on approach and familiar with restaurant kitchen equipment, HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical
Requirements - Education, Experience, Physical, and Competencies
Education Requirements Associate Degree Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
Education or Certificate Details Engineering, Project Management, or Related Field
Work Experience 3-5 years
Supervisory Experience 1-3 years
Related Experience
- Related knowledge of Repair Tech (Mechanical and Kitchen Equipment).
- Restaurant industry background or related experience
