Job Summary: MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced RN to join our Cath Lab team at Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. The Perianesthesia RN provides specialized nursing care to patients before and after cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and has strong assessment, IV, and critical-thinking skills.
The Perianesthesia RN provides direct patient care during the immediate pre-procedure and post-procedure period, utilizing the nursing process and following applicable standards of practice, organizational policies, and MaineGeneral Health's mission and values.
Job Description:
Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Alfond Center for Health, AugustaSchedule: Part-time (30 hours/week)
Shift: Days - No scheduled weekend or holiday hours. Call rotation is required
What You'll Do:

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and provides patient education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
What You'll Bring:

Current Maine RN license or ability to obtain one promptly, required

Previous Cath Lab experience preferred

At least 2 years of critical care or medical/surgical RN experience preferred

Strong assessment and IV skills

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing patient and department needs

Compensation Information: $36.00 - $63.00
The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
