AI Software Engineer

Job Description

We are building next-generation products for internal business users that support client-facing tax and financial services business. This team operates as an R&D and product innovation group focused on designing, architecting, and delivering intelligent solutions from concept through production.

This is a highly entrepreneurial environment where engineers are expected to think critically, solve complex problems independently, and contribute to product strategy, architecture, and implementation.

What You'll Do Design and build AI-driven applications and intelligent systems from proof of concept through production deployment Architect end-to-end solutions around LLMs, GraphRAG, knowledge retrieval, and intelligent data ingestion Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures Build systems that process, enrich, and deliver insights from large structured and unstructured data sources Develop backend services using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar Create and optimize graph-based knowledge systems using Neo4j and GraphRAG methodologies Design cloud-native solutions across AWS, GCP, and other cloud environments Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify AI-driven opportunities Evaluate emerging AI technologies and incorporate them into product development efforts Participate in architectural decisions, technical design reviews, and product innovation discussions

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of software engineering experience Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, C#, Go, etc.) Experience building scalable backend applications and distributed systems Working knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI application development Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and retrieval systems Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and software design patterns Experience with multithreaded application development and performance optimization Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through complex technical challenges in real time Ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders Experience designing solutions from business requirements through implementation Hands-on experience with Neo4j Experience implementing GraphRAG architectures Experience building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems AWS and/or GCP cloud experience Knowledge of event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and queueing technologies Experience with large-scale database management and performance tuning Experience synchronizing and managing data across global environments Exposure to financial services, tax, accounting, or professional services industries
