Responsibilities

Implements, plans, organizes, and staffs the work activities of the Laboratory during each shift to provide laboratory services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Collaborates with various departments, medical staff and others as necessary to assure that pathology systems, techniques and procedures are appropriate for departmental services.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Current HT/HTL certification through American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

  • Four (4) years of experience as a Histology Tech, with two (2) years of laboratory supervisor experience.

  • All applicants must submit to a Color-Acuity screening

PREFERRED

  • BS degree in science

  • Computer skills: knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel): basic statistics skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Weekend Requirements: No
