Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 years relevant experience.

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As an Embedded Software Architect for Airborne Systems, you'll partner with business, program, customer, and technology leaders to define practical technical paths that enable delivery of customer commitments. You will establish and guide embedded software architectures, technology roadmaps, and model-based design approaches that help teams develop capable, sustainable solutions across the product lifecycle.

Developing embedded software architecture and technical roadmaps for complex, mission-critical products.

Leading model-based design, model-based systems engineering, or model-driven development practices that improve engineering-team execution.

Partnering with customers, business leaders, systems engineers, hardware engineers, and program teams to translate mission needs into executable technical strategies.

Practical experience leading model-based design approaches that improve design quality, traceability, simulation, verification, and reuse.

Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to explain technical tradeoffs, influence decisions, and secure alignment across technical and business stakeholders.

Collaborative team player who enables engineers and technical leads through architecture guidance, coaching, standards, and reusable engineering practices.

Creative problem solver who turns ambiguous customer and technology challenges into actionable, technically sound plans.

Target salary range: USD $165,362.00/Yr. - USD $175,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
