Associate, Development

Responsibilities

Related Digital is seeking a Development Associate to support all aspects of its data center development platform, from site acquisition and underwriting through design, construction, and capital formation. This is a high-visibility, multidisciplinary role with direct exposure to senior leadership across development, finance, and strategy. The right candidate will be analytically rigorous, entrepreneurial, and eager to contribute to a business operating at the intersection of real estate, infrastructure, and digital economy growth. This position may be based in Dallas, TX or Austin, TX.

We’ll Trust You To

• Conduct market research and site-level due diligence on potential development opportunities across the U.S. and Canada, evaluating power availability, land, zoning, and competitive dynamics.

• Support the execution of the full data center development lifecycle, from site acquisition through design, construction, operations, and marketing strategy.

• Lead initial underwriting and financial analysis of potential development projects, building and maintaining models that evaluate project returns, capital structure, and investment theses in alignment with company objectives.

• Contribute to platform-level strategic planning, evaluating new markets, growth initiatives, and competitive positioning for Related Digital’s expanding pipeline.

• Assist in the preparation and execution of capital formation strategies, including engagement with equity investors, lenders, and other financing partners to support project funding.

• Partner with internal teams across legal, construction, energy, and operations to drive the successful execution of development projects from inception through delivery.

• Prepare investment memoranda, business plans, board materials, financial forecasts, and strategic presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2+ years of transaction or investment experience in investment banking, infrastructure or private equity investing, or real estate finance. Experience covering TMT, real estate, energy/power, or digital infrastructure is strongly preferred.

• Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with development underwriting, DCF analysis, and capital structure evaluation.

• Exceptional analytical and quantitative capabilities, with close attention to detail and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to present effectively to senior audiences.

• Highly organized, with strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Collaborative team player who takes ownership and operates independently when required.

• Genuine interest in real estate, infrastructure, and the data center industry; entrepreneurial mindset and strong work ethic.

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus.
