Full job description

The Tennis Coordinator is responsible for administrative work assisting the Tennis Center Manager in the effective and efficient operation of assigned tennis center.

  • Assists in the management of the Tennis Center and court operations, and tennis tournaments and programs.
  • Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned part-time personnel.
  • Coordinates programs for special events.
  • Assists in the keeping of records related to participants and sales
  • Manages the play of patrons and schedules court usage.
  • Works with various tennis associates using the tennis facilities.
  • Orders supplies to operate the Tennis center.
  • Enforces all rules and regulations at the Tennis Center.
  • Collects money/fee for tennis lessons, camps, clinics, merchandise/apparel sales, etc.
  • Makes deposits and prepares financial reports.
  • Assists in monitoring of tennis center maintenance.
  • All other duties as assigned.

The Tennis Coordinator should possess, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five (5) years of experience in tennis operations; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid Georgia Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Tennis Coordinator is responsible for monitoring part-time staff. The Tennis Coordinator must be knowledgeable of the following principles, procedures, and concepts:

  • Knowledge of tennis play, rules, and operations.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and basic programs.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and handle money.
  • Ability to supervise assigned employees.
  • Ability to work with various age groups and various sized groups of individuals.
  • Skill in effectively communicating both orally and in writing.
