Full job description
Meet the Team We're Cisco Silicon One™—the heart of Cisco's Silicon Operations organization and the engine behind our next-generation networking devices. Our Supply Planning team operates like a start-up inside a global technology leader, and we're proud of it: Cisco has ranked in the Gartner Global Supply Chain Top 25 for nearly a decade, most recently landing at #4 in 2026. We lead with simulation, digital-twin models, and AI-driven insights to plan, adapt, and stay ahead of a fast-growing, complex fabless supply chain. Curious what it takes to keep critical materials flowing for the world's most advanced networking ASICs?
Your Impact As Materials Planner, you'll own the planning and procurement of critical Advanced Package materials—substrates, HBM memory components, and interposers—ensuring the right materials arrive at the right time to keep production on track. You'll translate wafer and die output plans into a clear Materials Buy Plan, partnering with Sourcing to secure supplier allocation splits and quickly flagging any capacity-driven gaps before they become shortages. You'll build and deliver a monthly materials forecast to our suppliers, present materials status directly in our Supply Review, and create a concise executive summary highlighting risks, actions, and support needed. Working closely with Master Scheduling, Foundry Planning, and Procurement, you'll help us stay ahead of materials risk rather than react to it—balancing supply availability with cost, expiry, and excess/obsolete exposure.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in materials planning for semiconductor assembly materials (e.g., substrates, memory components, interposers) or a similar semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated analytical and data modeling experience, with the ability to translate demand and capacity inputs into actionable, capacity-feasible supply plans or forecasts.
- Experience managing supplier relationships, purchase orders, and materials forecasting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel-based planning/modeling tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
- Experience with substrate (SBT) and HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) materials planning within a semiconductor or advanced packaging environment.
- Experience building or maintaining capacity/loading models to convert unconstrained demand into a capacity-feasible plan (e.g., optimization tools, scenario modeling).
- Self-driven, detail-oriented mindset with a track record of proactively identifying and resolving materials risk before it impacts production.
- Comfort independently presenting analysis, status, and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
