Job Title: Security Operations Coordinator I Department: Administration, Facilities & Secretarial Country: United States of America State/Province: Arkansas City: Lowell Full/Part Time: Full time Job Summary: Under routine supervision, the incumbent is responsible for documenting the intake of security-related calls and emails while having the ability to route/escalate issues appropriately. This role ensures that J.B. Hunt's assets are protected relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues. This position assists with the security, safety, and well-being of all persons on the J.B. Hunt campus and at remote J.B. Hunt locations. Other duties as assigned. Job Description: Schedule: Thursday- Saturday and every other Wednesday from 6PM-6AM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls of security concerns and identify the next steps to address the concern or help direct to the best point of contact
  • Identify and write initial reports on accidents, incidents, or suspicious activities; record and gather details from available sources
  • Operate access control functions of corporate campus and remote sites, issue security credentials when required
  • Conduct routine video review and analysis as needed
  • Respond to and track alarm notifications at corporate and remote sites
  • Comply with site-specific Security regulations/projects enacted by company management. Prepare security assessments based on these regulations
  • Conduct routine monitoring of facilities, campus buildings, and/or parking lots in person or by video surveillance to identify and resolve any violations, issues, or concerns, and report to management as appropriate
  • Follow procedures for safety initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control, and accident investigations
  • Work with law enforcement agencies and remain compliant with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Provide desk coverage for Corporate Security Officers when required
  • Answer and respond to campus 911 calls. Coordinate with emergency management services
  • Monitor and report seal break activity
  • Monitor department email groups; escalate requests/inquiries to team leads or management if assistance is needed
  • Conduct wellness checks for employees as requested by management, human resources, safety, or emergency contacts of JB Hunt employees
  • Coordinate with contract security at remote sites to complete routine operational tasks
  • Adhere to security systems, technologies, operating standards, and procedures; continually monitor existing security systems and technologies for possible security leaks or fraud
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1 year of security-related experience and/or training and/or equivalent military experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in security, military, and/or law enforcement
  • CPR Certification
  • Experience with security operations
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively
  • Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position
  • Ability to maintain professionalism while dealing with difficult individuals
  • Ability to make independent time-sensitive decisions
  • Ability to work both individually and as a team
  • Customer Service skills
  • Experience in safety management
  • Experience in the transportation industry
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in learning new technologies/software applications
  • Knowledge of basic employee safety
  • Proficient time management skills
  • Surveillance skills
  • Willingness to work night shifts

Compensation: Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
