The position is well suited for someone with healthcare finance experience who can interpret both operational and financial data, build reliable forecasts, and communicate findings with clarity.

Prior healthcare financial analysis experience is required for this position. This position can be fully remote but will require occasional onsite meetings in Lexington, KY

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate financial results across revenue, expense, and operational metrics to identify trends, performance issues, and areas of opportunity.

  • Prepare budget-to-actual reviews, explain material variances, and partner with leaders to determine the business drivers behind results.

  • Contribute to month-end and periodic performance discussions by developing reports and presenting meaningful financial insights.

  • Support rolling forecasts and long-range planning activities by analyzing historical results, current performance, and expected operational changes.

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop assumptions for volumes, rates, labor, expenses, and other factors that influence financial projections.

  • Assist with annual operating and capital budget development, including review of submissions for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Provide financial analysis for capital requests, business justifications, and project prioritization to support investment decisions.

  • Track approved capital initiatives and monitor projected spending through project completion.

  • Respond to special analysis requests and deliver ad hoc reporting that supports strategic and operational decision-making.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Analytics, or a related discipline.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or a closely related area.

  • Prior healthcare financial analysis experience is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance reporting.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and how operational activity affects financial outcomes.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and solid analytical skills for working with large or complex data sets.

  • Ability to communicate financial findings effectively to both finance teams and non-financial operational stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
