FP&A Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced FP& A Manager to join a private equity-backed organization in Fishers, Indiana on a Contract basis. This Consulting role is suited for a finance leader who can bring structure to planning, elevate executive reporting, and deliver high-quality analysis in a fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate is highly self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing demanding timelines while partnering with leadership to support key financial decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the budgeting and forecasting cycle, partnering with department leaders to build realistic plans and align financial targets with business priorities.

• Strengthen materials prepared for board and executive audiences by turning financial results and projections into clear, effective presentations and reporting packages.

• Improve the monthly close workflow by identifying inefficiencies, reinforcing consistency, and increasing the reliability of financial outputs.

• Develop robust financial models and scenario analyses to support planning, performance evaluation, and decision-making across the business.

• Use advanced Excel techniques and Claude AI tools to enhance reporting processes, deepen analysis, and improve forecast accuracy.

• Deliver timely insights on operating performance, key trends, and risks to help leadership act quickly and effectively.

• Work independently to manage critical deliverables, ensuring high-quality execution during compressed reporting and planning deadlines.

Requirements • 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, including service at the FP& A Manager or Senior Manager level.

• Demonstrated success leading budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning activities within a complex business environment.

• Strong background in preparing board-level reporting and executive presentations for senior stakeholders.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build models and present complex information clearly.

• Experience performing financial modeling and in-depth financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.

• Prior work within a private equity-backed company is strongly preferred.

• Proven ability to improve financial processes while maintaining accuracy, speed, and attention to detail in a high-expectation setting.
