City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift Rotating Overview: Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy II Technician at Norfolk General Hospital!

Sign On Bonus up to $5,000 for qualified candidates!

Status: Full time (40 hrs/wk) Shift: 8.5 hour Rotating Shifts Hours: Shifts vary between 6am-11pm M-F Weekend: Every other weekend rotation

Required qualifications:

• Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience REQUIRED

• Pharmacy Technician Registration Number and Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) REQUIRED

Preferred qualifications:

• CSPT Preferred

Job responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications under the direction of a pharmacist

• Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapy

• Performs all functions of Pharmacy Technician I & II positions.
