Full job description

Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech

Setting: Healthcare Facilities

Job Type: Travel

Pay: $1978 / Week

Hours: 36.00

Location: Norfolk, VA

The Sleep Technician or Polysomnographer performs routine and complex procedures, to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of clinical disorders of the nervous system, in at least two of the following fields of technical Neurophysiology: Electroencephalograph, Evoked Potentials, or Epilepsy and Sleep.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a biological or physiological sciencesprogram or equivalent number of years’ experience in a biological orpsychological field; as required by state regulations or contractspecifications

  • National Board Registration in one or more of three areas:EEG, Evoked Potential, Polysomnography is preferred and may be required bystate regulations or contract specifications

  • Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
