Organization: SRMC-Sutter Roseville Med Center Position Overview:

This position will have a focus on NICU and Labor and Delivery (L&D). Performs therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures and provides assessment, treatment, care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. Job Description: EDUCATION:

  • Other: Graduate of Respiratory Care Program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

  • CA Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required.

  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Certification required

  • NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider within 180 days of hire.

  • BLS - Basic Life Support

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

  • Experience with intubation of infants strongly preferred.

  • Acute care clinical experience in Respiratory Care, training in arterial puncture and blood gas analysis. Previous experience in performing EKG is desired.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, chemistry, and physics.

  • Knowledge of bedside pulmonary function testing; mechanics and equipment.

  • Knowledge of arterial puncture and blood gas analysis, equipment and quality control.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with the Joint Commision on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards and College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation standards.

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in volatile situations.

  • Must be able to understand, read and write the English language.

Pay Range is $55.83 to $68.07 / hour The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
