Job Title: SRV

Job Description

This role focuses on hands-on assembly work using tools, equipment, and defined processes to build high-quality products in a clean, temperature-controlled environment. You will follow established instructions and standard work practices while also applying your experience to operate with limited guidance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help maintain accurate production and quality records.

Schedule : 10am-6pm Monday-Friday is the standard shift schedule

Pay : $19.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Operate tools, equipment, and production processes in accordance with provided instructions, applying prior experience to work effectively with limited or no instructions when needed.

  • Assist in creating and updating work instructions when none are available or when improvements are identified.

  • Understand and adhere to standard work procedures, including quality policies and customer specifications, to ensure consistent product quality.

  • Monitor your own work to verify that it meets quality standards and promptly communicate issues to supervisors, escalating concerns when necessary.

  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and record keeping, including labor tracking, inventory control, process documentation, scrap records, and quality records.

  • Support and actively participate in improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, cleanliness, product quality, and operational efficiency.

  • Generate new and innovative solutions to complex problems in the production environment.

  • Stay current on all certifications and training requirements relevant to the role and complete assigned tasks on time without compromising quality.

  • Effectively manage workload and prioritize tasks to meet production goals and deadlines.

  • Train other team members on tasks and processes when assigned, sharing best practices and helping them achieve proficiency.

  • Adapt to changing priorities, processes, and tasks, and remain comfortable performing different activities on a frequent basis.

  • Work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2+ years of assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

  • Ability to read and interpret assembly diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.

  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use computers for data entry, documentation, and accessing work instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality work and accurate record keeping.

  • Ability to adapt to change and remain comfortable completing different tasks frequently.

  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently as well as in a cross-functional team.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills to collaborate with supervisors and teammates and to escalate issues when necessary.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and demonstrate initiative in daily tasks and problem solving.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining accurate labor tracking, inventory control, process documentation, scrap, and quality records.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
