Full job description

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain modular backend services using Java (Spring Boot) with a focus on scalability, resilience, and clean architecture.
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of backend projects across the entire SDLC from requirement analysis and system design to deployment, monitoring, and enhancements.
  • Build and optimize video streaming backends, including working with HLS/DASH, media encoding workflows, and low-latency content delivery pipelines.
  • Drive performance tuning, latency reduction, and bottleneck resolution across high-traffic systems to ensure uptime, scalability, and fast response times.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Proven expertise in building scalable, high-performance backend systems.
  • Hands-on experience with video streaming protocols (HLS/DASH), media encoding workflows, and content delivery optimization.
  • Proficiency in system design, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and caching solutions (Redis, Memcached).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization and resilient system design.
