How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Support accurate diagnosis by expertly collecting and processing blood specimens, ensuring every sample is handled with the clinical precision required for high-quality testing.

  • Lead the laboratory’s efficiency by skillfully managing specimen processing—including receiving and transporting samples—while verifying all records to guarantee patient data integrity.

  • Guarantee a safe and sterile environment by maintaining and calibrating lab equipment and workspaces, strictly following infection control protocols to protect both patients and the team.

  • Create a seamless experience for patients and clinicians by resolving order discrepancies, managing "add-on" tests, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and ready for review.

  • Champion patient care by providing clear communication and empathetic service during the registration and collection process, serving as a professional and calming presence in the lab

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.

  • Phlebotomy Tech preferred.

  • Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.

  • Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) preferred.

  • Tech credentialed from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians preferred. All issuing authorities accepted.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
