Full job description
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Scheduling Specialist you will use the utilization of clinical knowledge to schedule appropriate procedures/surgeries according to both the physician orders and schedule availability.
Every day you will work closely with physicians, physician office staff, and internal/external customers to provide accurate, timely, and responsive information in accordance with clinic core values and policies.
To be successful in this position you will schedule appointments for patients, medical procedures, tests and studies ordered by physician.

Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments.

Conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care.

Schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments.

Communicate with patients regarding appointments and instructions for procedures and tests

Collect insurance information and patient personal data.

May collect fees such as co-pays / co-insurance.
Job Requirements
Required Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred
- 1+ years surgery scheduling or related experience.

Pay Range
$17.24 - $24.35 /hour
