PhysicianPine Rest is the third largest, freestanding, mental health institution in the country. We are called to express the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by providing behavioral health services with professional excellence, Christian integrity, and compassion.What Will You Do?The Physician Extender is responsible for supporting and coordinating physician services for an assigned caseload. Facilitates appropriate care, assists patients and families in finding and negotiating that care. Supports physician service to enhance high physician-patient face to face contact, organize physician service practice, improve physician service effectiveness, improve physician service efficiency, and facilitate physician service communication with patients, families, caregivers, and other treatment staff. Facilitates physician services’ effective us of electronic medical record, including computer order entry, and discharge record processing. Facilitates appropriate utilization of resources and efficient patient progression through the continuum of health care resulting in the highest quality and cost-effective care.The Physician Extender must demonstrate excellent customer service and have enthusiasm about the program and the Pine Rest organization.
