Field Service Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide technical support for Small Press customers. This individual will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying the Client's industrial machinery at customer locations. The role requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to travel extensively to support customer operations. Key Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, modify, and repair Komatsu industrial machinery at customer sites. Coordinate and perform machine installations, relocations, demonstrations, and customer training. Provide remote and on-site technical support for troubleshooting and repairs. Promote service and parts sales through regular customer engagement and preventative maintenance scheduling. Communicate customer feedback, safety concerns, equipment performance issues, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare customer quotes, document labor hours, complete expense reports, and submit detailed field service reports. Maintain ongoing communication with customers and internal management to ensure high levels of service and customer satisfaction.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of technical school education or equivalent industry experience in mechanical, electrical, fluid dynamics, or a related technical field. Experience inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, or modifying industrial machinery or other large equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics. Experience coordinating and performing machine installations, relocations, demonstrations, and customer training. Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships. Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Fluid Dynamics, or a related field. Strong electrical troubleshooting experience. Experience supervising subcontractors or customer maintenance personnel. Background preparing customer quotes, recording work hours, managing expense reports, and writing field service reports.
