Job Duties
Creating CAD Models: Build precise 2D schematics and 3D models of machine parts, tools, and assemblies using programs like AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
Developing Specifications: Define dimensions, materials, and procedures and assign part or material numbers.
Collaborating with Engineers: Collaborate with engineers to complete complex projects and design new machinery and parts by translating rough sketches and design concepts into production-ready plans.
Modifying and Revising Designs: Update drawings to correct flaws, improve functionality, or incorporate engineering change notices based on testing and manufacturing feedback.
Preparing Documentation: Create bills of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and technical illustrations for operation and maintenance manuals. other as assigned
Minimum Education Required
minimum 2 years on job experience
Minimum Experience Required
AutoCAD and Inventor software
Equipment/Piping design and documentation
3D rendering
Sheet metal design/flat layout
