Job Description

An Insight Global customer is hiring for a Data Center Manager in Eden Prairie, MN. The person that will be selected for this opening will have a strong leadership background and a clear ability to communicate effectively, and lead a technical Data Center team through various scenarios. This facility is a 24/7, 365, operation which requires additional availability to tend to outages, emergencies, and customer visits. The Data Center Manager for this client will be responsible for the entire day to day operation of this site specifically. There will be a maximum of 25% travel to either the HQ of the client or other Data Centers they own and operate.

Skills and Requirements

  • 4+ Years Experience working in data centers and/or experience with data center infrastructure to include electrical, HVAC, fire suppression, and security systems.
  • 2+ years of direct people leadership experience
  • Very strong communication skills with leadership, peers, direct reports, sub-contractors, vendors, and customers.
  • Strong background with planning and construction management processes and procedures for Data Centers
  • Knowledge of estimating, budgeting, and scheduling practices that revolve around full data center operations.
  • Understanding of fiber optic technology, including single-mode and multi-mode fibers.
  • Bachelor's Degree or 4+ Years Professional Experience in facilities management, electrical or mechanical engineering
