Job Description
The Sr Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) & Business Continuity Planning is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's enterprise risk management and business continuity programs. In this role you will:
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the enterprise-wide Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program, including governance, standards, methodologies, and planning requirements.
- Direct and oversee business impact analysis (BIA), risk assessments, recovery strategies, and continuity planning activities to ensure critical business functions can recover within established recovery objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and test enterprise business continuity, crisis management, and incident response plans to support organizational resilience and operational recovery.
- Lead enterprise-wide business continuity exercises, simulations, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews, incorporating lessons learned and corrective actions into program enhancements.
- Partner with business leaders to identify critical processes, dependencies, and vulnerabilities, and implement strategies to reduce disruption risks and improve operational readiness.
- Manage the enterprise risk register and coordinate risk assessments related to operational resilience, business interruption, regulatory compliance, and emerging threats.
- Develop executive level reporting, dashboards, and key risk and resilience metrics to provide leadership with visibility into organizational preparedness, recovery capabilities, and risk exposures.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, Human Resources, Information Security, Facilities, and operational teams to ensure alignment of continuity planning, governance, and risk management practices across the enterprise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Emergency Management, Public Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, operational resilience, enterprise risk management, crisis management, or a related field.
- Experience developing, implementing, and managing business continuity and resilience programs within a complex organization.
- Experience conducting business impact analyses, continuity planning, crisis management exercises, and recovery strategy development.
- Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks, operational resilience principles, and business continuity best practices.
- Experience presenting complex risk and preparedness information to executive leadership and governance committees.
- Advanced knowledge of Business Continuity Management (BCM), Operational Resilience, Crisis Management, and Disaster Recovery frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Business Impact Analysis, Recovery Time Objectives, Recovery Point Objectives, and continuity planning methodologies.
- Expertise in developing, testing, maintaining, and improving enterprise-wide continuity and crisis management programs.
- Ability to evaluate business disruptions, operational vulnerabilities, and emerging risks to develop practical and effective mitigation strategies.
- Experience designing and facilitating tabletop exercises, simulations, emergency response drills, and crisis management exercises.
- Knowledge of enterprise risk management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and governance frameworks.
- Ability to develop resilience metrics, preparedness dashboards, and executive-level reporting for leadership and governance committees.
- Ability to resolve issues with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to prioritize, execute tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent attention to detail and follow up skills
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to draft contract language
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information ethically and responsibly
- Able to work additional hours including evenings and weekends when needed
- This position requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
