Logistics Operations Manager, Site Services

Summary:

Meta seeks an experienced transportation manager. The candidate will build partnerships with various internal business partners, support scaling the organization, manage escalations, roll out tooling, coordinate execution activities and ensure logistical efficiency in a fast-paced and growing business area. This position is for a professional who can mentor and grow processes, operate complex programs, maintain engagement with multiple stakeholders, and envision the future systems and processes to support growing customer needs. They will support data center equipment, infrastructure programs, and related gear gear and all large-scale data center sites providing 7-day operational coverage on a 5-day working schedule.

Required Skills:

Logistics Operations Manager, Site Services Responsibilities:

1. Must be available to work an 8-hour shift within a 12-hour operational window (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), with flexibility required for occasional weekend coverage as needed. When a weekend shift is assigned, an alternate weekday off will be scheduled

2. Engage with internal customers to understand their current and future needs, and shape the team's customer-facing vision and roadmap in support of them

3. Manage and coordinate the movement of goods, supplies, and equipment within the organization's facilities, developing efficient transportation routes and schedules for timely delivery

4. Negotiate competitive carrier and transportation rates, and conduct regular benchmarking against industry peers to identify and implement rate-reduction opportunities

5. Develop and maintain carrier relationships to ensure high-quality service and compliance with organizational standards

6. Conduct regular carrier performance reviews covering service quality, on-time performance, and claims management

7. Develop and negotiate carrier contracts to secure competitive rates and terms

8. Develop and track KPIs (on-time delivery, transit times, cost reporting) to measure carrier performance, and analyze the data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges

9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics operations with organizational goals

10. Manage international shipments while ensuring import/export compliance

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Finance, or a related field

2. other technical education, experience, and degrees considered based on professional experience

3. 7+ years of experience in warehouse management, 3PL management, transportation management, supply chain, inventory management, operations, or manufacturing

4. 7+ years of experience operating in a matrixed organization, independently identifying, managing, and solving complex, ambiguous problems

5. Proven track record of independently leading warehouse and transportation operations and 3PL providers at scale, and driving operational quality and compliance in a large-scale distribution environment

6. Demonstrated experience in setting operational standards, metrics, and SOPs adopted across teams or regions

7. Hands-on experience with logistics management systems (WMS/TMS) and transportation logistics services

8. Experience in performance analysis, detailed reporting, and cost management and budget adherence

9. Willingness and ability to travel (estimated ~25%) to warehouses and 3PL locations across North America for on-site management and auditing

7. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

Public Compensation:

$115,000/year to $163,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
