Overview

Department: Gadsden Physician Management Surgical Associates

Shift’s Available:  Days

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 8-hour

Location: Riverview Pulmonology Associates, Gadsden, AL - Clinic

We are hiring a Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner for Gadsden Physician Management (Clinic).

The Pulmonary NP is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) specializing in diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and disorders of the respiratory system. They work closely with pulmonologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for both acute and chronic lung conditions.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding.

  • Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • MSN with specialization as an ARNP

  • Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse

  • BLS upon hire and maintain current

  • Previous experience with electronic health record

  • One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.
