Full job description
Summary
Responsible for daily clinical operations of the designated office(s). Works with management and team in a collaborative manner, assuring all clinical operations are consistent with policies, procedures and programs of line of business.
Education
Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.
Licensure/Certification
Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). CPR required.
Experience
3-5 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in a physician office. Staff scheduling experience preferred.
Other Qualifications
Must have solid verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of clinical operations, service excellence, clinical quality and education initiatives. Must be familiar with computers, electronic medical record experience preferred.
