Description

DMOS is building a Prior Auth team! The department will initially focus on inpatient surgery prior authorization to kick off the team. In this full-time position you will work alongside your current team of navigators to help standardize and support an outstanding patient experience. To thrive in this role, you recall information quickly and prioritize tasks accordingly. This position will be in house at the West, Des Moines or Ankeny Offices as space allows. The hours are Mon-Fri 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Here is What You Can Expect:

  • Acting as the patient navigators support to provide authorization and, in some cases, scheduling.

  • Utilizing Office 365 products, Intergy, insurance carrier sites, reviewing prior authorizations and communicating with staff when needed.

  • Sitting at a desk without interruption for extended periods of time may seem unnatural.

  • Ability to communicate calmly with patients and technicians.

  • Display a high-level of professionalism when interacting with patients and clinical staff members.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time while staying organized.

  • You practice the art of listening, asking clarifying questions and avoiding interrupting.

  • Experience. Prior exposure to patient care coordination.

  • Ensures patients receive timely care, promotes a reliable healthcare environment, and supports the overall efficiency of the team by being dependable.
