40 hours per week

We are seeking a compassionate clinical professional to join our team. This position is open to Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). This clinical professional will provide support in patient care, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education.

Responsibilities

  • Support providers and clinical teams by preparing patients for exams, treatments, and minor procedures, including obtaining vital signs and assisting with in-clinic workflows.

  • Perform clinical tasks within scope such as administering medications and vaccines, collecting lab specimens, drawing blood, placing urinary catheters, and supporting specialty services (e.g., EKGs and cardiac testing support in cardiology settings).

  • Deliver patient education using evidence-based methods and ensure high-quality, timely care.

  • Coordinate referrals, lab orders, and follow-up care to support continuity of care.

  • Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation, complete required forms with appropriate coding , and manage tracking systems for ongoing patient monitoring and test follow-up.

  • Stay engaged in clinic operations through meetings, communications, and organizational updates.

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and organizational policies while demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, reliable attendance, and a strong commitment to patient experience and quality improvement.

Qualifications

    • Valid and current licensure/certification in the state of Iowa as one of the following:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Iowa Board of Nursing

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – accredited program with certification (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, NCMA, NAHP, AAH, ARMA or NHCA)

  • Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred

  • Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
