Position Summary Provides strategic analytics and business leadership for Aetna's MAPD, Medicare Part D, and PDP businesses, translating financial, operational, competitive, regulatory, and consumer insights into executive-ready recommendations that support growth, retention, margin, and enterprise value creation. Leads development of multi-year MAPD strategic expectations, including market evolution, benefit design, pharmacy economics, competitive positioning, regulatory change, and expected enterprise impacts.

Required Qualifications The candidate will be a highly analytical, strategic leader who connects data, market dynamics, and business strategy to influence executive decision-making across the Medicare Part D business.

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, Medicare Advantage, Part D, actuarial, finance, consulting, product, analytics, or related healthcare leadership functions.
  • Strong knowledge of MAPD, Medicare Part D, PDP, CMS regulations, Stars, pharmacy economics, healthcare markets, and industry dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into actionable business insights, strategic recommendations, and executive-level narratives.
  • Experience developing executive reporting, business reviews, dashboards, KPIs, forecasts, and performance measurement tools.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint, data visualization, executive communication, and cross-functional influence skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including forecasting, trend analysis, scenario development, and business impact assessment.
  • Experience using AI, machine learning, generative AI, or advanced analytical tools to identify trends, risks, and business process improvements preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, ownership, intellectual curiosity, and bias toward action.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive alignment in a matrixed organization.

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
