Join our team as a Demand Planner III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute to global healthcare and scientific advancement. In this role, you'll develop and manage comprehensive demand forecasts while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure excellent customer service. You'll use advanced analytics and planning tools to support strategic decision-making, contributing to our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Position Summary:

The Demand Planner III is responsible for developing and managing processes, tools, metrics, cross functional alignment and collaboration for global demand planning and inventory planning / management. This position requires proactive and thorough coordination skills of various functional teams in the division (Sales, Marketing, Planning, Operations, Finance, IT) as well as leveraging ideas / tools from other divisions.

The Demand Planner III will exhibit excellent analytical abilities, creative problem solving skills, strong planning, organizing and collaboration capabilities. Additionally they must have excellent leadership skills, and have the ability to work with all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a background in Supply Chain Planning including demand and inventory planning, SAP experience, Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) and significant SAP prowess with a hands on approach and a passion for understanding both the business and the technical aspects of the analyses and projects they lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, highlight, influence, manage the global demand and inventory plans for TDX

  • Creation of tools and dashboards using SAP, Access, Excel and purchased software tools (e.g. Forecast Pro, Demantra, APO)

  • Lead and drive the Sales / Marketing Handshake as a part of the SIOP process in concert with the Planning team. Drive forecast accuracy to greater than 80%.

  • Conduct monthly inventory review and provide improvement management and recommendations with detailed information / insight and recommendations

  • Define, develop and run tools and analyses focused on demand and inventory planning.

  • Ensure linkage of forecast tools, inventory tools and SAP.

  • Work with Supply Chain Planners, Sales, Marketing, Operations Managers and

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting and / or Business or related field

5 years of supply chain planning experience

Strong SAP (or equivalent ERP system) experience with modules such as SD, MM/PP,FICO (APO knowledge preferred by not required)

Demand planning software experience preferred

Experience with Supply Chain S&OP packages / tools

Experience in a regulated GMP environment preferred

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio and SQL.

Strong tactical, strategic thinking, and problem solving skills.

Able to achieve big picture objectives while paying attention to details.

Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to function in a team-oriented environment and influence colleagues (both cross-functionally and within) and the skill to present comprehensive ideas / solutions driven

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $75,000.00–$112,500.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
