Summary

Treasury Departmental Offices is currently seeking an experienced personnel law attorney interested in temporarily assisting with employment-related litigation and other HR matters. Departmental Offices is the Department of the Treasury's headquarters organization, with approximately 3000 employes

Duties

The incumbent will represent Departmental Offices in matters before the EEOC, MSPB, and other administrative fora, and will assist the Department of Justice in defending employment-related federal litigation involving Treasury. The incumbent will also advise Departmental Offices managers on personnel matters, and assist with the formulation of Department-wide HR guidance. Qualifications

Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree (or equivalent), be an active member in good standing of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction).

Education

All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above education requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States. EXPERIENCE DESIRED FOR THE POSITION, INCLUDE: Three or more years' experience litigating matters before the EEOC and MSPB. Significant experience advising federal managers on HR-related matters. You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications . Once the application process is complete, a review of submitted documents will be made to determine if applicants are qualified for this assignment. Other Information
