Job Title: HR GeneralistJob Description
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations for a growing production workforce. This role serves as a key resource for employees and leadership, overseeing recruiting, employee relations, benefits and leave administration, compliance, payroll coordination, and broader HR initiatives that support workforce growth and organizational change.
Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding for hourly and salaried employees, including sourcing, interviewing, offers, and new hire orientation.

Lead recruiting efforts for hourly and production employees, ensuring effective staffing to meet operational needs.

Coordinate payroll inputs by collecting employee hours, managing timekeeping exceptions, obtaining approvals, and supporting payroll processing.

Partner closely with operations leaders and production managers to support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and headcount changes.

Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, responding to workplace concerns and supporting a positive work environment.

Handle conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations in a fair and consistent manner.

Support performance management activities, including performance reviews and coaching initiatives.

Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefit-related questions and issue resolution.

Support leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers' compensation documentation and communication.

Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity for all HR transactions and workforce changes.

Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures to employees and leaders.

Generate HR reports related to hiring activity, turnover, and workforce metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

Interpret HR policies and practices for employees and leaders and provide guidance on compliance and best practices.

Collaborate with site leadership to influence recruiting strategies, employee relations approaches, policy development, and HR process improvements.

Support workforce growth initiatives and organizational change by aligning HR practices with evolving business needs.
Essential Skills
-
Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR Generalist experience supporting multiple HR functions.
-
Demonstrated experience recruiting hourly and production employees, including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and offer management.
-
Proven ability to handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, performance management, policy interpretation, and workplace investigations.
-
Experience collecting payroll inputs, managing timekeeping exceptions, obtaining approvals, and supporting payroll processing.
-
Fluency in Spanish for employee communication, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits support.
-
Strong skills in benefits administration and leave administration, including FMLA and ADA-related processes.

Ability to administer HR policies and procedures and ensure consistent application across the workforce.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with production leadership and hourly employees.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and HRIS data integrity.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.

Familiarity with Paylocity or similar HRIS and payroll systems.

SHRM certification or similar professional HR credential.

Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish.

Ability to generate and interpret HR reports related to hiring, turnover, and workforce metrics.

Experience supporting workforce growth initiatives and organizational change.

Capability to collaborate closely with site leadership in a high-visibility HR role.
Work Environment
This role primarily supports a production facility with approximately 200 employees, with workforce changes expected in the near future. The position is based onsite in Bethlehem, PA, with a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Onsite presence is strongly preferred, with potential flexibility for 12 remote days in the future. The HR Generalist works closely with production leadership and the hourly workforce in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with frequent face-to-face interaction and collaboration across operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $78000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
