Position Summary We’re seeking a Senior Manager to join the Medicaid Compliance team. The successful candidate will play a lead role in interacting with state regulators as part of external exams, audits, and regulatory inquiries, driving successful implementation of corrective action plans, and providing subject matter expertise on state regulatory environment to business areas, other compliance teams and legal areas. The position will provide support and guidance to ensure that all functions, operations, and activities are conducted in accordance with Company standards for conduct and integrity, and all applicable laws and regulations. This role requires advanced project management skills and high levels of collaborating and partnering with regulators, business partners, impacted stakeholders and various levels of management.
External Exam/Audit Management:
- Coordinate market conduct exams across Compliance Officers, impacted business areas and with Legal.
- Serve as a main point of contact for state regulators and third-party auditors.
- Ensure accurate, timely collection and delivery of exam materials.
- Oversee responses to exam findings and corrective action plans.
- Maintain strong documentation of all exam-related work.
Required Qualifications

5+ years in Compliance, Regulatory, Legal, or External Exam/Audit roles including experience with Health Care Benefits.

Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects.

Ability to influence decisions across all organizational levels.

Skilled at escalating risks appropriately.

Willingness to travel up to 10% (including by plane).
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in auditing or external exams within Medicaid managed care.

Experience as a state auditor/examiner.

Background in project management and developing audit or corrective action plans.

Experience working directly with regulators or auditors.

Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
Education Bachelor’s Degree; equivalent years of related professional work experience may substitute.

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:
$66,330.00 - $145,860.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
