Full job description

Summary This position is located in the Bureau of Global Talent Management, Office of Organization and Talent Analytics (GTM/OTA). OTA provides a number of services in the areas of resource management, workforce planning, classification and compensation policy, organizational analysis and data analytics. Responsibilities Independently manages all operational support to OTA. Responsible for developing operating procedures and best practices to facilitate the coordination of administrative support and ensuring OTA staff have full operational support. Analyzes administrative and operational issues as it pertains to efficiency of OTA. Advises senior management on ways to improve administrative support, effectiveness, and efficiency, throughout the office. Identifies and resolves issues related to workflow, efficiency, and record-keeping for all operational and administrative tasks. Prepares oral and written reports outlining areas of concern and recommended solutions to share with OTA leadership. Stays abreast of ongoing changes in policy, procedure, customer needs and expectations. Establishes a process for onboarding temporary and permanent staff. Develops and maintains all Standard Operating Procedures for administrative tasks. Provides daily support to OTA leadership. Prepares agendas for meetings, provides background information prior to meetings, handles calendar for Office Director, reschedules meetings, answers phones/email, and greets visitors to the OTA suite. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement. NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement. Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F. Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing a wide-range of administrative support functions, including preparing oral and written reports for Senior Management, establishing deadlines, etc.; and Experience providing advice on various administrative policies, procedures, and requirements. There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position. Education Education requirements do not apply to this vacancy announcement.
