Job Description

My client is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst to support their federal client onsite in Chesapeake, VA. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical thinker with a strong technical background to play a key role in optimizing mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in business processes, computer networking, cybersecurity, and full system lifecycle management. In this role, you’ll work closely with stakeholders to analyze complex requirements, design forward-thinking technical solutions, and ensure systems remain secure, efficient, and aligned with operational goals. One must already hold an active Secret clearance.

Essential Functions

  • Conducting capabilities and requirements analysis.
  • Performing risk analysis, feasibility studies, and trade-off analysis to develop and refine functional requirements and specifications.
  • Consulting with customers to evaluate functional requirements and define project scope and objectives.
  • Translating functional requirements into technical solutions and operational capabilities.
  • Developing and documenting User Experience (UX) requirements, including information architecture and user interface requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics related to cybersecurity.
  • Analyzing and mitigating cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Developing strategic insights from large data sets and presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Utilizing cloud computing service models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and deployment models (private, public, hybrid).
  • Performing additional duties as assigned in support of evolving contract requirements and client needs.
  • Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science

  • One or more of the following certifications: o Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance

  • 4+ years related IT work experience
